Kiffin trashes Meyer ... then apologizes

Man, I just wish Lane Kiffin had been right. Unfortunately after calling out Urban Meyer for a recruiting violation in public, Kiffin had to apologize after the SEC and NCAA said he was wrong.

But this is going to make the Tennessee-Florida rivalry 100 times better than the past few years under Phil Fulmer. Just listen to this guy. I don't know if he can coach a lick, but he's getting the Rocky Top faithful fired up.

whoa, whoa, whoa, Lane. Let's coach a game first, buddy. This ain't the Pac 10 where the rest of the coaches genuflect at the feet of Petey.

You love this guy. OK, we love his wife.

Since it’s not against NCAA rules (although highly unethical) to contact a prospect while he’s visiting another school, I hope that every Vol fan will seek out the cell phone numbers of all of Florida’s future recruits – their numbers are probably available with just a little Googling – and while they’re on their official visits to Gaines-burg, we can all call those numbers repeatedly during their entire visit. Hey, if Urban can do it, why can’t the rest of us? I’ll bet even Lane could do it and not get in trouble, since the SEC commissioner himself has endorsed the unethical procedure and clarified the rules for us. (Buford Pusser to the corrupt judge in ‘Walking Tall:’ “The only thing you have to worry about the law is how much of it I can use against you…”)

Spirit, I definitely think all Vol fans should do nothing but call recruits while they're on other official visits. That would be a huge hit with recruits.
