It's just that usually USC waits until the middle of the Pac-10 season to blow a game against a clearly inferior opponent. of course, this means practically nothing in the national championship picture. USC will still be a top 10 team next week. (Okay, homerish bitch coming: Ohio State goes to #1 and gets thumped and drops to #14. Let's see how far USC drops after what is clearly a very poor loss. I'll say #7.)

Oregon State will likely finish as a 6-6 team. USC will be beating everyone 70-0 by the end of November and will once again live up to their annual mantle of "playing the best at the end of the year." We'll see if this game really means much.
