RichRod: Shell of his former 'cocky' self

This man looks spent. Do you think he'd like to go back to Dec. 16, 2007, and tell Bill Martin "No"? Hey Rich, 5-7 and no bowl is a real possibility now.

Weis ass

Notre Dame's Charlie Weis discusses getting ready for the USC game and how he's preparing his team on this ESPN clip. Surprised he's not sitting there flashing his Super Bowl rings. It's clear after watching this clip that the storied Irish football program is in bad hands and will keep going down under his arrogant leadership.

But does Notre Dame really want to spend the reported $40 million it might cost to buy him out?

It's a love/hate thing with Rich Rod

It seems Ron Cook at the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette is a little too infatuated with Rich Rodriguez. On the other hand, South Florida coach Jim Leavitt is a little arrogant when it comes to his feelings toward the former WVU coach.

Funny thing is, I agree in part with both of them. I am on the record as saying that Rodriguez will rebound and return to his winning ways. But only if Michigan doesn't grow impatient. What is irritating about Rich Rod is the arrogance he portrays--almost I invented football attitude. Enough. He's good, but not the best. He's had great success as an underdog, but when his team's are favored and a lot is on the line he chokes.

In case you were wondering how some Michigan fans feel about WVU's hated son. Check out the Fire Rich Rodriguez website.

Coaching arrogance

Special Report

Retired Coach Rick
ACC Correspondent

Many newspapers in Florida have indicated a new coach has taken over the Florida Gators. His name is Arrogant Meyer.
The Gator fans were booing them or him at the game Saturday. This hasn't happened since Charley Pell was there. A lot of people think the team has adopted Coach Arrogant's attitude.

Every year there are a few coaches who start believing they are the best thing to ever happen to coaching. Richie Rod, Arrogant Meyer and Charlie "King" Weis will be joined soon by Nick Satan.

He is next. It is in his makeup. Always has been.
