Special Report

ACC correspondent
Thank you Iowa. You have saved us from an onslaught of "feel sorry" stories about Grandpa Joe and how he has been cheated all his life.
Texas Tech impressed me this time, but Oklahoma will beat them easily when the two teams play in Norman on Nov. 22. It was a nice run for Texas Tech (another team being coached by a non-playing coach) but it is over next week.
WVU stunk up the field offensively against Cincinnati. The Mountaineers offensive line stunk it up. That was to be their strength this year. Pitt is now a big favorite in the Big East.
Don't be surprised when Michigan State beats Penn State. It doesn't make any difference the Fat Ten champion will be blasted in the Rose Bowl. The Rose Bowl might try to avoid the Fat Ten.
Oh yeah, why is there a Big 12 North?
I wish the President-elect and all of the other playoff lovers would wake up. Basketball, baseball, ...etc have a playoff and so what. Other than the alumni can anyone else tell me the champions from the year before. As soon as it is over we quit talking about it. The BCS gives us something to talk about all year. The what ifs and the who should haves start in September and never ends.
It is exciting. I like it the way it is. We discuss college football year round.
